After installing "collaboration" category from Indigo M5 repository, when the IDE starts up a dialog _always_ pops up asking about subversive connectors. 

We've seen this in previous years, with things like "mylyn connectors". From the point of view of those that intentionally, purposely install "subversive" this _might_ be a helpful, natural dialog to pop up ... but, it is bad form. 

First, sometimes subversive might be installed, but not desired to be used right way, so to "force" this step on startup is intrusive, even if desired at some point in future. 

Naturally, not every time that subversive plugins are installed, will it be desired to use them. (as when someone selects whole category, even though we recommend people not do that ... some people do, and they will get a bad impression). 

Also, in general, any plugin in Eclipse should be able to be installed, and have minimal impact on startup procedures or other operations ... unless the user makes an explicit choice to do so. 

This "subversive connector" dialog pop up from a button on a preference dialog, I'd suggest. 

I suspect this bug could be moved to subversive component, but thought I'd open in cross-project, since this behavior can impact other projects/users, and was hoping it'd serve as a reminder to everyone.

I just noticed, I think, that this dialog goes to another non-eclipse site, to install non-Eclipse software. Is that right? If so, then these type of items belong in the Eclipse Market Place ... not as a part of "eclipse preferences", as I recommended.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Now there is a button which activates the dialog present in the plug-in preferences until the connectors are installed.
