The information, which changes a task introduced by a task, is useful from a software maintainance perspective.

Thanks for the request. I am moving this to Mylyn Tasks which should provide API for this. We already have some discussion about this on bug 197924 and it's subtasks. 

Do you have suggestions what a potential API could look like?
