Whenever I try to edit C code with Eclipse this crash will appear sooner or later. I have no clue what steps cause it.

The bug already occurred in 3.6.1 and various preceding jdk / jre versions.

Try adding
-XX:-UseCompressedOops
to eclipse.ini
