Description Matthew Piggott CLA 2011-01-25 15:28:47 EST
There are a few problems with the dependency hierarchy page of the pom editor:

- Title of the Dependency Hierarchy page incldues "[test]"

- Selecting an item in the Dependency Hierarchy list only highlights the corresponding item in the Resolved Dependencies, should all its dependencies be highlighted?

- Select an item in the Dependency Hierarchy list, this will highlight the corresponding entry in Resolved Dependencies, now if an item is selected in Resolved Dependencies the highlight from the potentially filtered selection in the Dependency Hierarchy remains.

1. afaik [test] means what the current scope filter is. you can change the scope level at the top of the page.

2 I'd like to understand the workflows when you would like to see the dependencies. for me the basic idea in the hierarchy view is to a. see what did the various transitive deps resolve to, and for a resolved dependency (that is potentially wrong) see where it's being defined.

3. filtering + selection can't indeed work reliably together (IMHO)
