Description
Laurent Delaigue
I discovered the file "org.eclipse.equinox.security/secure_storage". I removed this directory (which was in may home folder), and now I can use eclipse as before. So it seems to me that for some reason, this file has been corrupted. Having eclipse crash if such a thing happen looks like a bug to me, especially since the message in the logs does not indicate how to solve the issue. So I let this bug opened, does that make sense? SecurePreferencesFactory.getDefault says it returns null in case it was unable to create secure preferences. It shouldn't be throwing IllegalArgumentException here (especially since the method takes no arguments). This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. |
