Description DJ Houghton CLA 2011-01-20 09:45:23 EST
Previously when someone added an attachment in a bugzilla comment and you clicked on it, it opened the attachment.

Now with the new update when you click on it in the comment it opens up a Diff view. (if it is a patch) It is possible to change this behaviour back?
Comment 1 Denis Roy CLA 2011-01-26 15:31:04 EST
If I go to this bug and click the attachment, which is a patch and is correctly identified as such, I get the plaintext contents, not a diff.

Or am I missing something?
Comment 2 DJ Houghton CLA 2011-01-26 15:38:51 EST
Sorry, it is a subtle change. If you click on the attachment in the "Attachments" table it is the same as before.

But if you go to the comment where the attachment was added (Bug 102527 comment 34) and click on the link, it opens up a "diff" view rather than the plain text. (which is different behaviour)

Ah, I see. I agree, that is an odd change to make. At first glance I don't see any knobs or preferences that would allow me to dictate the behaviour.

I did find the enhancement request over at Mozilla:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487330

Look like this is it, unless I change the Bugzilla code itself.
Comment 4 DJ Houghton CLA 2011-01-26 15:52:22 EST
Yep, that looks like it. Apparently someone else has difference preferences than I do. Go figure. :-)

I'll close this as wontfix. You have more important stuff to do than hack Bugzilla code just because I don't want to scroll up to the top of the page. :-)

Thanks!
