Since this is a legal issue and a small change, it is preferable if this can be done for the current downloads. Hi Markus, Is it possible to make this change in the Indigo M5? That is an oversight... I didn't see this bug until today. Certainly, it is possible to do this, but I need Nathan to update the old pages. (0) Markus - Update the Indigo XML in CVS. (1) Markus - I need to update all *existing* XML configuration files of the old releases. (2) Nathan - update the existing webpages, i.e. re-initialize them from the XML files. I will do the change within the next few days. Sorry for the delay. Thanks. (In reply to comment #3) > (0) Markus - Update the Indigo XML in CVS. done. * eclipse_reporting_indigo.xml - affects the Indigo web page. * feature.xml - description of the feature, included in the package. > (1) Markus - I need to update all *existing* XML configuration files of the old > releases. for II in */*/reporting.xml; do echo ${II}; perl -pi -i.bak -e 's/JEE/Java EE/' ${II}; done Files changed on download.eclipse.org, unmodified files renamed *.bak galileo/SR2/reporting.xml helios/R/reporting.xml helios/SR1/reporting.xml helios/SR2/reporting.xml - not yet found by Oracle indigo/M7/reporting.xml - not yet found by Oracle indigo/RC1/reporting.xml - not yet found by Oracle Files changed on archive.eclipse.org, unmodified files renamed *.bak ganymede/R/eclipse_reporting_340.xml ganymede/R/repository.eclipse_reporting_340.xml ganymede/SR1/eclipse_reporting_341.xml ganymede/SR2/eclipse_reporting_342.xml galileo/R/reporting.xml galileo/SR1/reporting.xml galileo/SR2-RC4/reporting.xml Two things that came up to my mind: I hope it will be possible to change the history up to Galileo, I doubt that it will be (easily) be possible for Ganymede. At that time we didn't use Drupal for the packaging web site. The second thing is that there are still the feature.xml files that were used in all packages >= Galileo. This file is included in all Reporting packages since then and cannot be removed (or altered). Assigning bug to Nathan. He needs to update/regenerate the web pages. Another question: Is this known to Eclipse Legal? Is it something that we should tell other people and groups at Eclipse? The issue was brought to the BIRT team's attention by Bill Shannon at Oracle. He specifically highlighted the issue for BIRT. I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that he would have highlighted any similar issues for other teams. Done (long ago in 2011); closing this bug as fixed. |
