There is no simple way to customize content of the Merge or the Property views. EMF Compare hard-codes ContentProvider - see ModelContentMergeDiffTabContentProvider class.

The 2.x stream of EMF Compare is using the Eclipse Team API in a better way. It does not provide specific views for properties anymore and instead leverage the classical contentMergeViewer mechanism.

You should now be able to create your own customized contentMergeViewer and provide it through the team API.

Feel free to reopen if you think this would not be suitable for some reason.
