toString() is used in at least one place in Woolsey: the generation of the differences description when submitting. More concise implementations will make everything look a whole lot nicer.

I originally assumed that this would be done via the toString() method. Upon further inspection, I found a way to get the various ItemProviders to do the work; some of them needed to be updated as well.
