Currently PersonProposalProvider looks for addresses to use as completion proposals in tasks in the task list. Connectors should be able to specify a list of proposals (e.g. from the repository), and to disable the search behaviour if it doesn't make sense for that connector.

The idea of the patch looks good to me. Shawn suggested in the past to use the options in the attribute meta-data to provide a list of available completions. It'd be great if you could change the patch accordingly and attach it to bug 291770.
