*** Bug 333989 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I noticed as well that the download does not have features. This is not a problem per se but may be an issue for adding onto the basic pde build structructure. For example, if the releng base builder was structured as a set of features to add onto the PDE builder they may express some feature dependencies. I don't feel strongly about this one. If the features are missing on purpose ok (would be interesting to know why) but if it is "by accident", perhaps they should be added back. in Bug 333989 Kim noted as well that the .product file for the PDE Builder the version number is 1.0.0.@qualifier@. The use of the @'s causes PDE to complain when exporting the product from the workspace. Related, the product refers to a feature called ...pde.build.configuration which does not exist anywhere. It is apparently generated as part of the releng process. The product should refer to the ...pde.build.product.feature. The pde builder zips were removed because it was causing compile errors. I spent a huge amount of time on trying to build these zips properly and it didn't work. Since Jeff is no longer involved with Eclipse, I assume I can close the request for the pde build zips. |
