Sometimes, and only since my last update (I don't recall exactly when or what that was, but it means that this bug should be no more than 6 months old), when the javadoc popup that displays on mouse hover appears, Eclipse briefly hangs, then crashes. I have not seen anything in my .metadata/.log that looks interesting, or even has the right timestamp. I will attach the MacOS-generated crash log to this report.

This crash is not easily reproducible, but is most easily reproduced by scrolling the pop-up javadoc window. (I'm becoming trained to not do that.) However, the crash for which I will attach a log occurred when an (unwanted) javadoc window appeared while I happened to move the mouse over something with javadoc, while en route from one place on the screen to another. I assume the crash occurred instead of the window closing itself.

I have experienced this crash on two different Macs. Because of both the relatively recent appearance of this crash, and the OS, I believe this bug differs from 279680 and 207574.

Finally, I should add that I have the Emacs+ plugin installed (v 3.5.1 from mulgasoft.com) on both machines, though I hope that is not relevant.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. hover over an item (usually a method) that will trigger a javadoc popup whose javadoc does not fill the screen.
2. move the mouse into the javadoc popup, and use the mouse wheel to scroll down to the bottom
3. (sometimes) witness a crash

Have a look at bug 325607, which was fixed on 9/17. The bugs you mentioned only happen on Windows. The crash log attached matches up with the crashes in 325607 and its duplicates.
