Description Glyn Normington CLA 2010-12-22 05:53:07 EST
In addition to being triggered by source updates, the Virgo (and Gemini Web) Hudson builds should run nightly so that any breakages in the Hudson environment are detected early.
Comment 1 Steve Powell CLA 2011-01-07 09:31:31 EST
I can do this easily. You simply switch on the periodic build flag in the configurations and set a schedule. I'll stagger the builds overnight.
Comment 2 Steve Powell CLA 2011-01-07 09:57:02 EST
Set schedule to trigger builds between 20:00 and 21:00 every evening except Saturday. This is a compromise "overnight" setting for world-wide participation. It assumes that the times in the server are local to the location of the server.

[I would prefer that times on the server were UTC, or explicitly marked wiuth the time zone so that we could actually know when they happened, but this is unlikely to gain credence with the eclipse hudson build webmasters.]
Comment 3 Steve Powell CLA 2011-01-07 09:58:37 EST
This enhancement should be closed only when we validate the schedule settings -- so we need to wait a week and check that SCM updates still trigger a build as well.
