The new scrollbar works on the ipad, but makes it painfully obvious that we need a touchscreen specific theming. Many buttons and items are way to small to hit reliably with a finger. Since themes can be changed just by changing the url, the default theme can be used for desktop-pcs, and the mobile-theme for ipad & co.

The theme would only need to change a few dimensions, fontssizes and images to make everything that can be "clicked" bigger. Other than that its the default-theme.
