The MSP430 4.0 alpha-1 codegen tools release is now available.  The tools self-identify as "3.4.0A", but this is what will become 4.0.0; this number will be changed to "4.0.0B" before the Beta period.

Alpha-1 introduces the MSP430 Embedded Application Binary Interface (EABI), an ELF-based new object file interface which supports advanced features and is more industry-standard than COFF.  The fundamental EABI features are enabled, such as ELF file format, DWARF3 debugging format, and others.

- Verified using 3.23.01.38
Using the example idioms.i304, I built programs for all three new MSP430 ELF targets. Verified that the options passed to the compiler correspond to the targets' model settings.
