The fix for 328616 was delivered just as we were creating a patch for 332031, and because of the return code change in 328616, we didn't want to pull that into the patch without more testing.  So 332031 temporarily removed a portion of 328616, and this defect tracks the need to put that code back after the 332031 patch is complete.
