I think it should be added to the JavaDoc of TreePathViewerSorter that ViewerComparator should be used instead. From ViewerComparator: * It is recommended to use <code>ViewerComparator</code> instead. WorkbenchViewerSorter which also extends ViewerSorter has already the following comment: * @see IWorkbenchAdapter * @deprecated as of 3.3, use {@link WorkbenchViewerComparator} instead
