During an anonyms read-only clone of the git clone git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/virgo/org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.git I'll always get the following error:

Cloning into org.eclipse.virgo.kernel...
git.eclipse.org[0: 206.191.52.44]: errno=Connection refused
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection refused)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a commandline
2. execute: git clone git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/virgo/org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.git

Thanks guys for your help after you mentioned to check my IP I realized that I was behind a firewall that blocks the port git is using (9418). Sorry for raising this bug.
