Description Matthew Hall CLA 2010-12-07 10:36:52 EST
In the "Task List" view, right-clicking a query and selecting "Mark as" > "Read" only marks top-level tasks as read, not subtasks. This can be a hassle with queries with a large number of tasks that have subtasks, as each unread subtask must be manually found and marked as read.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new query in the "Task List" view that will match at least one task that has a subtask.
2. Collapse the query so that tasks are hidden.
3. Notice a blue arrow indicating unread tasks.
4. Right-click on the query and select "Mark as" > "Read".
5. Notice the blue arrow indicating unread tasks remains.
6. Expand the query so that tasks are visible, then expand any task with a subtask.
7. Notice the subtask remains unread.

Suggested fix:
When marking an entire query as read through the right-click menu, mark all tasks, even subtasks as read.

Current workaround:
Expand tasks with subtasks and manually mark each subtask as read via the right-click menu.
