Hi,

I would like to make a request to add the following feature to Eclipse:
Be able to specify a list of files to be included in the project.

As it is not possible to smoothly work with Flexible Project Structures as desribe d on the following page:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT:Flexible_Project_Structure

To resolve this easily, a feature can be added to Eclipse to allow the user to specify a file that contains a list of files and directories to be included in the project.

This feature exists in snavigator and works very well. To create a project called HELLO and specifying a file (IMPORT.txt) which contains the list of files and directories you do the following:

snavigator --batchmode --create --projectname HELLO --import IMPORT.txt

The file IMPORT.txt would look like following:
/dir1/dir2/dir3/file1.c
/dira/dirb/dirc/filea.c
/dir1a/dir2a/dir3a/file1a.c

etc.

The same feature would be very beneficial if it would be added to Eclipse.

Brs,
Markus

Markus,
Did you intend this as an Eclipse Feature? You submitted it to the STEM project (See the "Product" field).

This is not a STEM bug, it is a feature request for the Eclipse Platform. Please resubmit indicating the correct Eclipse Product to direct this request to the right place.
