When I launch this example with a UML model as parameter I get :
org.eclipse.m2m.atl.core.ATLCoreException: Error loading uri:http://www.eclipse.org/uml2/2.1.0/UML: java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: uri

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unzip the org.eclipse.m2m.atl.examples_3.1.1.v201008100529 plugin
2. import the example : org.eclipse.m2m.atl.examples.public2private.cmd in eclipse
3. launch the build.lib.xml file
4. execute the command : java -jar public2private.jar <a UML model>

Unfortunately this example is not used/maintained anymore. The strategy to launch ATL programmatically is now to use ATL plugins, cf http://wiki.eclipse.org/ATL/User_Guide_-_The_ATL_Tools#ATL_Plugins
