Bug 323514#c40 has a performance test which doesnt seem to show the perf improvement with the fix for bug 323514. 

This needs to be worked out to show the perf improvement and also make sure that projects are reopened at the end of this test

Sorry Aysuh, we created the bug at the same time. I think we should use mine as I already posted a patch to it...
