A very required feature for BIRT excel emitters is to be able to produce tabbed xls output. I have seen BIRT 2.6.0 generating data in multiple sheets if it cannot be represented in single sheet.
As in the above case, the feature is implicit and there is no way to control it. If there exists some way to explicitly do this, E.g. Tribix emitters considers page break options as a request to start new sheet and sections after page break comes up in a new sheet.

An icing on the cake would be the feature to specify custom names for sheets.

Looking for the same. (while exporting to excel--view report in excel)

1.)Having multiple worksheets.

2.)Feature to name the worksheets.

3.)Feature to add any meta data into worksheets.
