Description Torkild Resheim CLA 2010-11-24 07:55:46 EST
Especially the "Last Built" column is not wide enough so most of the text is not visible. We should have some mechanism that would automatically adjust column widths to fill the view width when there are no other settings. Note that the view will store it's column widths between sessions so we just want to initialise with some sane values.

Yes, it would be nice to have a smarter layout algorithm that sizes columns. I would like to have the summary column grab whatever available space when I resize the view.

Will take a look at this one.
Comment 3 Torkild Resheim CLA 2010-11-25 04:56:35 EST
Columns will now be resized so that they are able to display all content. If there is any space left, the second column (summary) will be resized so that the entire width of the control is used.

I just noticed TreeViewerSupport and the possibility to show/hide columns. Nice feature :-) I've done some tweaks that fixes the problem you were having but the current implementation is not perfect. I'm wondering if it would be better to re-implement this in TreeViewerSupport (or it's parent) and have the columns automatically resize also when a column is shown or hidden. This would be an optional feature of course.
Comment 8 Steffen Pingel CLA 2010-12-17 05:44:12 EST
Agreed, it would be great to move enhancements that are reusable up to TreeViewerSupport.
