I have several items, that should be hold together (there should be no pagebreak between them).

Examples:
Headline and content held together
(it doesn't look well to have the headline on the last line of a page)

All lines of a table held together
(if the table doesn't fit on the rest of the current page, the table should start on the next page)

Have you tried to set page break inside to avoid to that table. It should work for such case.

You're right. I've made a simple report and can confirm this behaviour.
In my other reports however it doesn't work.

I've tried a lot until I found the problem:
If the table is in the lefto of two columns of a grid, there is no pagebreak before it.
I've already opened a bug for this (330996)
