Have you tried to set page break inside to avoid to that table. It should work for such case.

It should work > for such case. You're right. I've made a simple report and can confirm this behaviour. In my other reports however it doesn't work. I've tried a lot until I found the problem: If the table is in the lefto of two columns of a grid, there is no pagebreak before it.
