Hello John-Paul, I think it's a pity that the discussion about your X port forwarding contribution got somehow stalled on bug 195170. We'd still really appreciate your contribution, but unfortunately so far the feature failed for most of us (Anna, Dave M, myself - all from 3 different organizations but none of us got it working). Do you think you could invest into getting this finally working? Thanks! At the moment it's a little stalled due to work load been spent on other things. Still want to see this working though, so will be coming back to it. If I do an "xhost +", then I can launch my xterm from the SSH terminal. Thus, I suspect the problem is in the code that deals with setting X host and X port. Bulk move of deferred feature requests to 3.4 CQ:WIND00332347 Shall we give this another try for 3.4 ? With Juno, with now have JSch-0.1.46 ; but according to the JSch release notes, there was another bugfix afterwards in 0.1.47: Changes since version 0.1.46: - bugfix: failed to initialize channels for the stream forwarding. FIXED I'll retest. I still have the same issue. FIXED This was really a showstopper bug in the JSch lib version 0.1.46 for several use case. It would be great if the JSch lib in the Eclipse packages will be updated with a newer version. Are there any news regarding the X11 forwarding feature? I didn't find any option in the newest eclipse / rse version for X11 forwarding Hello J R, there's no news on that feature unfortunately. Code contributions would be welcome reviving this feature! |
