The validation action always verifies validation rules implemented in UML2 metamodel.
The preferences does not currently allow to select precisely which rules are to be verified or disable this set of rules.

[incomplete phrase]: Fixed in revision 7446 (trunk only): creation of delegation constraint provider within UML2 and the integration within Papyrus in the context of bug 373644
