Technically, it's not a full hang because if you can swap out to a tty then you should be able to kill the debugged Java process. Your correct, GTK+ Ubuntu 10.4 LTS
Its doesn't seem to be a duplicate as my code does not reference a static section. I'll try to create a minimum example
