Description Iain Houston CLA 2010-10-28 08:30:39 EDT
-- Configuration Details --
Product: Eclipse 1.3.1.20100913-1228 (org.eclipse.epp.package.php.product)
Installed Features:
 org.eclipse.platform 3.6.1.r361_v20100909-9gF78GrkFqw7GrsZnvz0JWNTeb6fue6896L

In the RSE (Remote System Explorer) when you launch a new "Ssh Terminal" then
the Terminal View, when docked in "Restored" size (i.e. the view is neither minimized nor maximized)
will obscure the text at the top of the window: the scroll bar slider seems to be constantly wanting to be at the bottom
thus obscuring the text at the top of the view.

When you scroll the view up to see the text then, as soon as you start typing, the scroll bar slider whizzes down to the bottom again,
thus obscuring what you are typing.

Workaround: use the Ssh Terminal View fully maximized .... but then you lose the benefits of the other IDE views in context.

You beat me to it!
Hope screenshots show clearly what I'm talking about.

Notice that the blue scrolling slider in the bottom Terminal View (when view is not maximized) is always springing to the bottom; thus obscuring what's at the top of the terminal window.
Maybe this just happens on the Mac OS X version of Eclipse Helios?

Do scrollbars move around for you with other views?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
