Apparently logged in and creating a post

If I take a reasonable amount of time to complete a post to the community forums, e.g. because I get side-tracked on a more urgent piece of work, then my login appears to expire and I cannot post successfully. There is no feedback about what has happened and if I don't have the presence of mind to hit the back button and salvage my work (by copying the text, navigating away to log in again, and then creating the post again using the copied text), I am forced to log in and create the post again from scratch.

It would be very much more preferable if the login did not timeout. Or, failing that, if the login times out, it should simply prompt me to enter my password again without losing work or aborting the work flow.

I'll attach a screen shot showing me logged in and entering a post followed by the screen that immediately follows with no indication of what just went wrong (apart from the tell-tale sign that I am no longer logged in).

Actually, when I went back and resubmitted the post, it worked, so my login must have been re-established? So I can't easily provide a screenshot of what went wrong the first time. It's still a problem though as it's unintuitive and has caused me to lose work in the past and so I think it will affect many other
users.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

We haven't had any similar reports since this bug was opened, so I'll assume it was an isolated case.
