I tried to push changes to gerrit. Therefor I created an rsa key which was named other than id_rsa. Eclipse failed to connect with authentication exceptions
After renaming my key to id_rsa *and* restarting the IDE it worked

It recognizes id_dsa and id_rsa by default, the same as console SSH client. To use another file name, you can specify it in the preferences General > Network Connections > SSH2, by clicking on "Add Private Key...". I don't think we should deviate from console Git/SSH client, marking as WONTFIX.
