Description Robert Munteanu CLA 2010-10-19 04:52:58 EDT
When adding an entry with the value '/target' in .gitignore, the '/target' directory is ignored by both CGit and EGit. When moving the same entry in .git/info/exclude, the directory is ignored by CGit but not by EGit.
Comment 1 Nathan Jones CLA 2010-11-08 08:08:27 EST
It seems _all_ entries in .git/info/exclude are ignored by EGit (version 0.9.3).
Comment 2 Chris Aniszczyk CLA 2010-11-08 09:56:26 EST
Yes, we don't support '.git/info/exclude' yet.
Comment 3 Robert Munteanu CLA 2010-11-08 12:00:52 EST
Just to put things into context, git-svn generates these entries by default, in order not to 'pollute' the SVN repository with .gitignore files.
