Open xhtml file when 'XPath View' is opend -> An internal error occurred during: "Refreshing XPath View". Could not resolve the node to a handle.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open XPath View (make it active or not)
2. Open some xhtml file
3. Get exception message box

I am experiencing the same behavior on Mac OS X 10.6.4

I'm unable to reproduce this in WTP 3.2.2 -- haven't tried plain Helios.

Could I get you to test this on a plain Helios SR1, or describe you install further (did I see some JBDS?)

XHTML file for bug reproducing

Bug stable reproduced with testXhtmlFile.xhtml which was added to new 'Dynamic Web Project' in new workspace.

My setup description:
  Eclipse Helios 3.6.1
  WTP 3.2.2.v201008170019-377AB8s73533J5H335L

Thanks for the recipe, I get it now. Only problem is that it seems to be an incompatibility between SSE and Xalan, which I haven't seen before (perhaps XHTML doesn't map to SSE XML nodes, I'll check, since it is supported by a different partition handler, if I understand it correctly.)

However, the best we can do is to catch the error and report it.
