The term "Early Adopter" should be removed from all artifacts/web pages related to the 4.1 (June 2011) release.

I have released the above patch into R4_HEAD. Moving to Paul to update the download page.

Isn't that a little bit too early? I am not yet convinced that the next release will be able to replace 3.x.

Whether there continue to be 3.x releases after June 2011 is a separate question. There will continue to be 3.x releases as long as there are contributors/committers willing to maintain it. There is already a 3.7 release planned that will occur simultaneously with the 4.1 release.

The "Early Adopter" tag indicated that the 4.0 release was targeted at developers building on the platform rather than regular end users. The main goal of the 4.1 release is to perform the necessary consolidation and polish so that it is perfectly usable by end users. Much of the core technology will have been available for two full years by the time 4.1 ships, so that *should* be enough time to get it in shape for wider use. You are encouraged to enter bugs for any issues you have encountered that bring you to the conclusion that it's not ready for that.

Fixed >20101216 including the update for 4.0->4.1 and 2010->2011.
For now we've removed the "EARLY ADOPTER RELEASE" text.
We've left a placeholder in the design file in case we later decide to add different descriptive text to the release to help differentiate it from the 3.x stream.
