I just wanted to open the reference at the end of bug 322896 comment 8:
org.eclipse.team.internal.ccvs.core.connection.CVSRepositoryLocation.updateCache(String, String)

'Open from Clipboard' works perfectly when I remove the line break, but it doesn't work when I just copy the reference as is from Bugzilla (pastes to the Java Stack Trace Console)

In general, the parsing of single references should not care about whitespace. It should e.g. also work with one or more spaces or tabs in front of the '(' or around the '.'s. For the fallback action (paste to Java Stack Trace Console), whitespace should be preserved.

The other side of the coin is absence of line breaks in a stack trace, see bug 349933 comment 1.
