Hi Guys,

Updating eclipse fails with the following error, settings default, we use a proxy, but when I check connectivity to the update sites thr&#1086;ugh the settings window most of them say available- which means connectivity is fine.

Potentially a duplicate of bug 307435.

We had a case in some builds where the metadata repository list was there (which is what you see in the UI) but the artifact repository list (where the JARs are found) was empty. 

Can you see if you have this file? (and check its contents):

eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine/profileRegistry/SDKProfile.profile/.data/.settings/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.artifact.repository.prefs

If this is indeed your problem, then a workaround would be for you to delete the repository from your list and re-add it again. (this will add both the metadata and artifact repositories)
