In order to perform automatic layouting, it would be quite useful to select elements of rules in the diagram editor only. This would allow to layout only them, but not potentially pre-layouted other rules.

This seems to be possible (already), doing the following:
Select a node/edge within a rule; then use the selection tool in the toolbar..that's all ;-)
