Approval received from project lead. Approval received from EMO.

I am assuming a project id of webtools.osgi-enterprise-tools.

The entry in the projects database has been created. Proposal record created in the portal. A forum has been requested (Bug 327581).
Comment 5 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-11-04 10:10:01 EDT
New version of the proposal document uploaded.
Comment 6 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-11-23 10:47:19 EST
Proposal updated per request from PL.

Creation review has been requested. Suggested Nov 24-Dec 1 and am waiting for confirmation from the PL.

Have requested trademark search.
Comment 7 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-11-23 11:33:08 EST
PL ready to move head. Review is scheduled pending the outcome of the trademark search.
Comment 8 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-11-24 13:12:54 EST
Trademark assignment requires permission from the OSGi Alliance to use "OSGi" in the title. Janet has made a request to the OSGi Alliance.
Comment 9 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-12-03 10:54:38 EST
Received via email to the EMO mailbox:

We choose ?Libra? for short name.

We also contacted the OSGi Board. They are going to reject the usage of ?OSGi Enterprise Tools?.

<snip>

I?ve read the OSGi Trademark Policy: http://www.osgi.org/Main/TrademarkPolicy

Details for our use case are explained in the Trademark Attribution section. As far as I understand a proper usage example is: "CompanyName BrandName ProductName for OSGi Service Platforms."

So, the project?s long name could be something like ?Enterprise Tools for OSGi? Service Platform?.

And if we take the short and long name together we get ?Libra: Enterprise Tools for the OSGi? Service Platform?.

A trademark search for "Libra" has been initiated.
Comment 10 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-12-20 12:32:15 EST
Trademark has been approved. We need to schedule the creation review.
Comment 11 Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-12-21 10:52:22 EST
The proposal document has been updated to reflect the new name, "Libra". Foundation database records have been similarly updated. We'll use the proposal document for the creation review.

Creation review scheduled for Jan 5-12/2011.

Successful creation review. Awaiting NPPR.
Comment 14 Kaloyan Raev CLA 2011-01-13 02:35:40 EST
I've submitted the NPPR. Now I see in the portal the nominations of all of the initial committers with status "Waiting for candidate paperwork, Received NCRF".

Most of the initial committers are existing Eclipse committers. According to the guidelines nothing is required by them. I guess there is now some manual step for them that should be done by the EMO, isn't it?

I guess that we need to update that message (we get this question a lot). If the candidates already have paperwork on file, Sharon will take care of it. Each of the candidates should have received an email to this effect.
