On MaxDB, the tests 

TypeTestModelWithAccessors and 
TypeTestModelWithOutAccessors 

fail with the message 

"Invalid length for this data type:THECLOB - VARCHAR(25000) UNICODE"

MaxDB supports VARCHAR UNICODE up to 4000 characters only. Above this length a CLOB ("LONG UNICODE" on MaxDB) must be used:
