As first reported by Thomas ( http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/cross-project-issues-dev/msg04732.html ) for some newsgroups no old posts show up in Thunderbird.

I'm still having this problem for example with:
  eclipse.tools.emf
  eclipse.modeling.m2t
  eclipse.foundation

I don't seem to have problems for example with:
  eclipse.technology.emft
  eclipse.modeling.tmf

Are you certain that you have the View options set appropriately in TB for those newsgroups? I just checked eclipse.tools.emf and it said there were 50,000+ message headers available. I told it to download only a couple thousand, but I was able to read messages that were over a year old.

I could fix the issue by "Repairing the .msf files", an option per subscribed newsgroup.
