Description Jeff McAffer CLA 2010-09-29 16:32:12 EDT
Project websites are stored in CVS and mirrored on the production web server. There is a process that polls every so often for changes and pushes them to the production server. When developing a site users need to check somthing in and then wait for it to update. When doing frequent tweaks and small adjustments, this is very inefficient.

It would be very useful to have a URL we could hit that would force the updating of the project website. something like http://eclipse.org/updatenow.php?project=equinox or some such.

I have a local test environment configured. We have that documented at:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Configuring_Eclipse_with_PHPEclipse

I'll review it later to see how accurate/up-to-date it is.

We'll have a more reliable, and likely faster checkout process with git.

With Git this has become a non-issue.
