Description Jacek Pospychala CLA 2010-09-23 06:36:41 EDT
Steps to reproduce:
1. use snippet260 to get Mozilla SWT Browser (http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/org.eclipse.swt.snippets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet260.java)
2. change URL to e.g. "http://bugs.eclipse.org"
3. run Snippet with argument -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=<path>
4. try to fill any of the forms available on bugzilla web page
5. Notice that, after pressing submit, browser redirects to correct URL but does not send form data. I noticed it both for GET and POST, on Windows 7 and on Mac

tried with XULRunner 1.9.1 and 1.9.2.9, Eclipse 3.6.0

Guys,
I'm really surprised with this issue. Specially that there's no other similar bug reports, while this seems to be really serious one. Can you confirm that this is indeed a problem between SWT and Mozilla? I know at least 2 other people who reproduced this, but they used our RCP product, rather than snippet...

I also noticed that e.g. www.google.com search form works fine. But google.com seems javascript heavy, so maybe they're using some JS mechanism, that doesn't hit this problem...

I see it on OSX but not on Windows (tried Windows 7 with XR 1.9.2.9 and XP with various XR versions).

Grant, do you have any idea what may be causing this?
I'm not sure where to start searching...

btw. still using Snippet260, and going to http://bugs.eclipse.org, I don't see CSS loaded.

Xulrunner is no longer supported. Closing. Please open new bug if you have issues running with supported web engine.
