Eclipse freezes indefinitely when editing and periodically saving Java code.
This happens often but without clear pattern and requires restarting IDE.

Reopening the bug because it still occurs in Eclipse version 3.7 while 318797 seems to have been fixed in this version according to the comments.

Bug 318797  got fixed after that. Either use 3.6.1 or 3.7 M2 or later.

Happens on 3.6.1 as well. The last freeze occurred after typing '.' following the object name but before the list of Java proposals appeared.
