Description billpun CLA 2010-09-19 02:12:55 EDT
Build Identifier: 20100617-1415

The report has one data set, one cube, and three parameters which are used to filter data in the data set. The cube is used for the crosstab. All is fine until I add a bar/line chart (I have not tested other charts) based on the cube data. When I try to preview the report, the following error is thrown:
"org.eclipse.birt.report.service.api.ReportServiceException: Error happened while running the report"

I do not have this error when I use a vista computer (different computer) to run the same report with a bar/line chart.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a bar chart to the report based on the cube data
2. Click on preview
3. Error message pops up

The Report

You may not be able to reproduce the error, since I do not receive any error when I run this report on a windows vista machine. However, it is attached for your convenience. Thank you so much.

Which BIRT version were you using?

I tried your report in latest 2.6.1 build v20100917-1723 on windows 7 (replacing the jdbc datasource with flatfile), the preview works fine.

Could you please re-try with the latest build?

Finally, I got it working by fixing the Java home directory, which was changed by some other BI software that I installed before. Sorry for posting an invalid bug here, and thank you very much for your time.
