Description Wayne Beaton CLA 2010-09-16 13:00:39 EDT
About every tenth time I create a bug under the "Community" Product in Eclipse Bugzilla, I assign it to the wrong Component.

I have a query in the Task List that lists Bugs in the "Community/Proposals and Reviews" product/component. I right-click on the query "folder" to create a new task. The new task opens with the "Community" Product and "Architecture Council" Component selected. Very often, I remember to set the Component properly. Sometimes I forget.

I recognise this as Pebkac (problem exists between keyboard and chair), but is there an enhancement possibility here that can take some of the bogus email off the architecture council?

+1 for making that default to what's selected in the query. Frank, do you think that's doable?

I have committed that attached patch. The component should now be set if a query is selected when creating a new task. Frank, it would be great if you do a quick sanity check of the changes.
