The reason is described in this part of error report:

"Contains: Failed to read the project description file (.project) for 'tests'. 
The file has been changed on disk, and it now contains invalid information. 
The project will not function properly until the description file is restored
to a valid state."

So, in order to avoid the problem please use Synchronize View to solve conflicts prior to updating projects.
