Description David Williams CLA 2010-09-15 23:25:23 EDT
While testing the Java EE IDE package from EPP, for Helios SR1 RC3, I see following message printed numerous times in console while running.

Eclipse:18533 CRITICAL murrine_style_draw_box: assertion `height >= -1' failed

As far as I know this is relatively minor, but occasionally I do see a dialog (such as new server dialog) that has an "input field" that is only one pixel high, and I need to resize the dialog before I can see the input field. Not sure if that's related. (The assertion error occurs much more frequently than any UI problems I see).

I consider this kind of minor, but might be more important to "new users" or those expecting higher pollish?

This is apparently a bug in Ubuntu's theme code, specifically in "gtk2-engines-murrine (Ubuntu)" when trough-under-steppers=0, which is the setting that is used by the Ambience and Radience themes.

Please see comments 22 and 24 in this Ubuntu bug for a work-around:

This post also describes the work-around:
