Description Lakshmi P Shanmugam CLA 2010-09-14 09:16:25 EDT

There is inconsistent behavior in TableColumn on windows, Gtk and cocoa. On windows & Gtk the checkbox is part of the first column, so the column width includes the checkbox. On cocoa, we use a separate checkbox column, the width of the first table column doesn't include the checkbox column width. May be the TableColumn width should include the checkbox column width on cocoa too?

Steps:
1) Run snippet 311
2) Right click on the header and deselect Name from the menu
3) The Name column's width is set to 0, the first column should disappear. But the checkbox column remains and also it has the column name.

For consistency's sake, yes, the check column should be considered part of the first column. TableColumns currently don't pay attention to which column they are in the table, so set/getWidth will need to check for that.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
