I tried to push my local repository to remote repository.
In connect wizard while specifying the port number, user-name the connection is made on each type of character. If my user-name is fixe character long, it connect five time and i need to close the connection failed window five times.

Steps to Reproduce:
Try push command to remote repository via git+ssh protocol.
Type user-name or port number

Could you please specify the EGit version? We have fixed this in 0.9, in which case this would be a duplicate of bug 315575.

I am using 0.8.4.
If it is fixed in 0.9, this issue can be closed.
