Ed, do you have a feed for Eclipse tagged items? An off-topic entry once in a while is good. But too many such entries should not be entertained. Bob Balfe's blog also comes to my mind - lot of posts are not in the interest of general Eclipse plug-in community. I don't think we should be removing the blogs, but a filter to show only Eclipse related posts would be sufficient. Put a filter in place. Sorry, when ZDNet redesigned they took away my ability to do categories. So I agree with filtering or removing it. What does your filter key on, the word "Eclipse" in the subject? (In reply to comment #4) > What does your filter key on, the word > "Eclipse" in the subject? Can't do subject only. Thus, it's anywhere in the text. :) So if I wrote "Lady Gaga eclipses Justin Beiber as twitter celebrity" it would pick up on that? :) I think it would better to just remove my blogs from the PlanetEclipse feeds. I use Eclipse every day but I don't feel the need to write about it much anymore. As they say, no news is good news. (In reply to comment #6) > So if I wrote "Lady Gaga eclipses Justin Beiber as twitter celebrity" it would > pick up on that? :) She did? When??? Tell us more! Seriously though, I'll follow the flow of the crowd on this one, but I'd hate to remove Ed's blog from Planet Eclipse. Although Ed doesn't write about Eclipse as much as he used to, he's been a part of this community for years, and I find most of his posts interesting from a tech perspective. Let's stick with the filter for now and see how it turns out. |
